The recent wedding of music star Usher, to Jennifer Goicoechea in Las Vegas has been creating a stir in the entertainment industry. An intriguing aspect though has been the appearance of his ex-wife, Tameka Foster at Ushers Super Bowl halftime performance. Foster, who was married to Usher from 2007 to 2009 and has two children with him shared her thoughts on the experience.
Foster offered a perspective on attending the Super Bowl as Ushers ex wife stating, “One of the perks of being Ushers ex is getting to go to the Super Bowl. That’s how it goes.” She humorously remarked, “I wouldn’t be interested in someone who can’t take me to the Super Bowl. That’s not my style.. Watching perform was definitely a highlight.”
The halftime show featured Usher alongside Alicia Keys, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, H.E.R., Lil Jon and Will.i.am and left a lasting impression, on Foster. She described it as an “experience. Expressed her enjoyment of both the performance and the game itself.
Foster shared her perspective, on Ushers marriage emphasizing the significance of love and encouraging him to maintain good habits regardless of his life stage.
However she openly discussed the obstacles she faced in her relationship with Usher particularly addressing the criticism she endured based on her skin color. She expressed her feelings of not being appreciated for who she’s especially lamenting the diminishing recognition of black love in todays society.
Reflecting on how societal norms affected her self worth in the past Foster highlighted the lack of support from women. Emphasized the need to change this narrative by seeking partners who value similar principles.
Despite encountering challenges Foster remains dedicated to her endeavors notably looking forward to her TV show “Bold & Bougie” on WE tv. While excited about this project she humorously mentioned the inquiries about Usher during interviews, as a minor downside.
