Ushers performance, at the Super Bowl was truly remarkable receiving praise and cheers for his halftime show. However fans couldn’t. Feel a bit let down by Justin Biebers absence after he was invited to join the R&B star on stage.
During the 13 minute extravaganza Usher treated the audience to some of his hits like ‘Let It Burn’ and ‘OMG’. The crowd went into a frenzy as the 45 year old singer showcased his dance skills on rollerskates gliding around the stage with his dancers while delivering an impressive vocal performance.
Sharing the stage with him were his collaborators. Ludacris, Lil Jon and Alicia Keys. Who delivered a performance in front of a cheering crowd of 65,000 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Despite all this excitement fans couldn’t. Feel disappointed by Biebers absence. Even though the 29 year old singer did attend the Super Bowl with his wife Hailey (27) he decided to enjoy the event, from Michael Rubins $2.5 million suite.
The Reason Behind Biebers Decision Not to Perform with Usher Onstage
Bieber and Usher formed a bond when they worked together on the song ‘Somebody, to Love’ in Biebers early days as a pop star. Bieber has since released six albums with his latest one being ‘Justice’ in 2021.
According to Page Six sources close to Usher revealed that he tried persuading Bieber to join him on stage as a tribute to their shared music history. However a looking Bieber politely declined, citing exhaustion as the reason.
A source in the music industry told the publication “There’s no blood between Usher and Justin. Justin simply wasn’t feeling up to it. He just wasn’t in the mood.”
Given Ushers high energy dance performances it’s understandable that participating in the Super Bowl halftime show can be physically demanding. Of performing Bieber opted to watch from the audience with his wife and based on their head nods, during Ushers performance they clearly enjoyed watching him perform.
